Interlibrary loans and photocopies/scanned copies have been exchanged among consortium members without fee assessments since 1980.
AGREEMENT
The members of the Mid-America Law Library Consortium (MALLCO) agree to provide interlibrary loan services without charge to other MALLCO members in good standing. All transactions are subject to the provisions of the ALA Interlibrary Loan Code and copyright law. This agreement is intended to continue in full force in perpetuity; however, it is subject to review, modification, and reaffirmation every five years. A member library may withdraw from participation in this agreement provided notice is given in writing to the current MALLCO president at least 30 days in advance.
